The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority has a fully independent Board comprising 12 members and a Chairman, each appointed by the Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety for a term of 4 years.

The RQIA Board also has 2 committees which meet on a regular basis.  They are:

  •  the Audit Committee, and
  • the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.
