Partnership Forum
RQIA is committed to a partnership approach and in conjunction with the trade unions and professional associations who represent staff subscribe to the principle of partnership working.
The Partnership Forum is the focal point of this formal partnership agreement. It is where consultation and negotiation between management and staff take place on Authority-wide issues. It also acts as a reference group for good practice.
More specifically, the Partnership Forum continues to:
- Debate all major issues affecting RQIA, help formulate policy and implement Authority-wide and regional initiatives such as ‘Agenda for Change’.
- Champion partnership working within RQIA in order to maximise the involvement and engagement of staff in decision making.
- Provide the main forum where representatives of trade unions, professional associations, elected staff representatives and managers can work together to deliver the objectives of RQIA.
- Raise awareness of the aims of partnership working, communicating what it achieves within the Authority and the wider health and social care community.
