Mental Health and Learning Disability - NEW!
On 1 April 2009, under the Health and Social Care Reform (Northern Ireland) Act 2009 the functions of the Mental Health Commission (MHC) transfer to the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA).
RQIA has worked in partnership with the Mental Health Commission to ensure a seamless transition that will have no adverse impact on service users, their carers and providers.

Access to services for people with Mental Health Needs
RQIA wishes to announce the publication of the Mental Health Commission's Equality Impact Assessment on the 'Access to MHC Services for People with Mental Health Needs'. The MHC was dissolved on 31 March 2009; its functions have transferred to RQIA who will be responsible for delivering on the commitments made in the EQIA.
