Hospital Hygiene

In its inspection of hygiene and infection control standards at health and social care facilities, including hospitals, RQIA uses the Regional Healthcare Hygiene and Cleanliness Standards (see below).  This is based on a multidisciplinary approach to hygiene and infection control standards.  The audit tool for RQIA's infection prevention/hygiene inspections examines the following areas:
