Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Requirements

Following the issue of a Circular from DHSSPS regarding Access NI delays, new requirements are now in place to monitor staffing returns from providers registered with RQIA (or those seeking registration) employing staff who require enhanced disclosure checks under Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups legislation.

For your information we have provided a copy of the DHSSPS circular and subsequent addendum, and  RQIA's guidance note on this issue.  Also attached is an excel spreadsheet which must be completed, signed by the Registered Manager and returned by post to RQIA on a monthly basis.
