Ashbrooke Care Home

This home closed following a successful application to a Lay Magistrate, under Article 21 of The Health and Personal Social Services (Quality, Improvement and Regulation) (Northern Ireland) Order 2003, to cancel the registration of Runwood Homes Ltd. in respect of Ashbrooke Care Home, due to the serious risk to a person’s life, health or well-being at the home. 

On 14 September 2017, Runwood Homes Ltd lodged an appeal to the Care Tribunal in respect of this action.  On 9 April 2018, the appellant withdrew this appeal, and on 13 April 2018, the Chairman of the Care Tribunal dismissed these proceedings.
