Enforcement at Children's Services

Name of Service Enforcement Compliance Achieved
Belfast HSC Trust Children’s Service

As a result of a risk to the care and safety of children at a service operated by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, RQIA has placed conditions on the registration of the service to provide the Trust time to undertake remedial works to address environmental issues at the property and to ensure suitable alternative arrangements are in place to care for those availing of this service while this work progresses.

On 15 December 2023, following engagement with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, RQIA removed the conditions on the registration of this service.  RQIA is satisfied that the required remedial works to address the environmental issues at the property had been completed and the property is safe for children to live in.

In line with RQIA’s current policy, reports of inspections at Children’s Services are not published.  Following a recent Public Consultation on this matter, RQIA is in the process of piloting the publication of reports. Details of this can be found on our website here.
