Programme Closure - Clinical Audit, QI and Clinical Guidelines
The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) will no longer undertake activities associated with the production and maintenance of RQIA and, the former, Guidelines and Audit Implementation Network (GAIN), clinical guidelines.
Therefore, all clinical guidelines and associated documentation have been archived and permanently removed from the RQIA website, and will not be accessible from 21 August 2023.
However, if you wish to request a copy of a RQIA/GAIN clinical guideline, for information only, please email info@rqia.org.uk. The requested copy will be forwarded to you with a statement to explain that clinical guidelines developed by RQIA and GAIN are no longer maintained, and the information may not be up to date, or may no longer be in line with the latest evidence.
All clinicians and practitioners are reminded to exercise caution when referencing the RQIA/GAIN Guidelines, sourced either from the RQIA website or outdated hard copy versions still in circulation; please apply professional judgment, as advice contained within the archived guidelines may pose a risk to patient safety. Therefore, clinicians and practitioners are advised to also source alternative contemporary evidence based guidance.
